The Missouri was the site of a 30 TPD Mill at one point. A massive undertaking with thousands of subsurface workings on a wide, flat lode vein with gold reported up to 4 oz. per ton. Ore is in auriferous pyrite and there is also substantial copper in chalcopyrite ore.
All of the buildings and mill are in poor repair and will need rehabilitation.
Survey in 2019 reported "dumps" contained 0.33 ounces of gold per ton and and average of 6% copper per ton.
