Lead Rocky Top BMI Certificate and Felice & Boudleaux
Description
Baldwin baby grand piano that was owned by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant. Accompanying the piano is a signed letter of authenticity from Del Bryant, the son of Felice and Boudleaux and a framed certificate BMI Records presented to the House of Bryant Publications in recognition of over 1 million broadcast performances of Rocky Top. Felice and Boudleaux Bryant are most famously recognized for writing "Rocky Top", as well as "Country Boy", "Bye Bye, Love", "Wake Up, Little Susie", "Love Hurts", "Sleepless Nights", and countless other popular songs recorded and sung by artists including the Everly Brothers, Little Jimmy Dickens, Buddy Holly, the Compton Brothers, Emmylou Harris, the Beach Boys, and a host of others. This piano was gifted to Emerald Charter Schools from the Bryant family and removed from their home in Gatlinburg, TN. Serial number 236179, showing the piano was manufactured in 1979. The piano is currently disassembled and does have some damage - including the piano keys, various trim, etc. The damaged pieces have been saved and are included with the piano.
