11 Ceylon Engravings, comprising: Alain Manesson Mallet (1630-1706), "Roy de Ceylon", printed for "Description de L'Univrs", 1683, Jonas Haas (Dutch, 1720-1755), two from the Dutch Edition of "Historie Generale des Voyages", Jacques-Nicolas Bellin (French, 1703-1772), "Carte de L'Isle de Ceylan" and "PLan de La Ville et Fort de Jaffa Nepatan dans L'Isle de Ceylan, both hand colored, 1750, Robert Bernard (French, 1734-1794), plate 23 and 24 from "Abrege de l"Histoire Generale des Voyages", Tome IV, After Phillippus Baldeaus (Dutch, 1632-1671), Churches of Ceylon, 1704, Pierre Quentin Chedel (French, 1705-1763), plates II, III, and IV from "Histoire Generale des Voyages", Tome VIII. Largest image: 9.25" H x 7.25: W; sheet; 11.5" H x 9.25" W. Provenance: Property from the Manhattan estate of Indrani Yogasundram who lived in many different countries with her husband, Yogaraj, during his decades-long career as a Sri Lankan diplomat. In addition to the heirloom jewelry she possessed, Indrani acquired jewelry, art, and ornaments while stationed in China (1960-63), Sri Lanka (1963-65), and Iraq (1965-1967).
