Medium: Pastel on paper. Signature: Lower right. Condition: Very good overall. Minor aging in the paint. This piece was recently cleaned by a restorer. Size: 8.5 x 11.5 in. Frame: 16 x 19 in. Beautiful work of art!
George Grosz was a German artist known especially for his caricatural drawings and paintings of Berlin life in the 1920s. He was a prominent member of the Berlin Dada and New Objectivity groups during the Weimar Republic. He emigrated to the United States in 1933, and became a naturalized citizen in 1938.

Provenance: From the private estate of a long time art collector. According to the consignor this fine painting has not undergone an expert authentication certification process, hence is being sold as manner of the artist.
