Gavin Bros. Auctioneers LLC accepts cash, good checks (bank letter of guarantee must accompany checks from buyers unknown to the auction company), wire transfers, certified checks, Master Card, Visa or Discover Credit Cards (3% convenience fee for using credit/debit cards). Maximum allowable charge on credit cards is $2,000 unless pre-approved. Credit cards are not accepted for titled vehicles. Sales tax applies unless Gavin Bros is provided with a sales tax exemption form (buyer’s premium is taxable). If buyer does not contact Gavin Bros within 24 hours of the auction the credit card on file will be charged.
TERMS FOR VEHICLE PURCHASES.
Gavin Bros. Auctioneers Reedsburg Auction Facility is now a licensed motor vehicle dealer. All vehicles and items are sold as is, where is. Inspection before bidding is highly encouraged during open house. Gavin Bros. is not liable or responsible for making claims on the road worthiness or drivability of any item. Please assume items need to be hauled from the auction pick up. Odometer and/or Hour Meter Readings are not guaranteed to be original. All vehicles must have temporary license plates to leave the lot unless valid, transferable plates are presented at pickup. Vehicle buyers must bring their driver's license with them for pickup.
Titled Vehicle Fees:
Wisconsin Buyers: $164.50 Wisconsin Title Fee will be charged onsite at time of pick up for each titled item. An additional $25 Title Processing Fee per titled item will be charged, along with a Plate Fee per titled item if applicable. To junk a title for an item that has an out-of-state title, the $164.50 Wisconsin Title Fee will be added to your invoice as the title needs to be in Wisconsin to do so.
Out-of-State Buyers: Tax will be removed from invoice for titled items only. A $25 Title Processing Fee will be applied to your invoice.
If a buyer fails to pay in full for an item the buyer will be black listed and not allowed to participate in any Gavin Bros. auction and reported to other HiBid auction companies as a non-paying bidder.
For onsite auctions (not located at the Gavin Auction Facility) all items must be picked up at the designated pickup times, no exceptions unless prior arrangements are made. If they are not picked up at the designated pickup times the items are considered abandoned and become the property of the Auction Company or seller. The buyer is still responsible for full payment, no refunds will be given.
Shipping is not available for all auctions. If not specified that shipping is available check with the auction house prior to bidding. Typical charges for shipping are $10 for the first lot and $2 for each additional lot. Large orders may be subject to a $10 per box fee. All shipping and insurance expense are to be paid for by the buyer. If you bid on and win an item and shipping is not offered you are still responsible for paying for the item. Certain items never eligible for shipping are animal mounts, any items that have ever had gas or fuel in them such as lanterns, chainsaws, small engines, etc, large or bulky items, items over 40 lbs., gun powder, or very fragile items. Items must be picked up within the scheduled pickup time. Any items that need to be brought back to the Gavin Auction Facility are subject to a $20 hauling fee.
Storage fees of $20 per day begin after 5 days from auction close. Any items that are not picked up within 15 days are considered to be abandoned and become the property of Gavin Bros Auctioneers LLC. No refunds will be given, buyer is still responsible for all storage fees.
