This excerpt emphasizes the importance of timely item removal following the close of the auction. Here are the key points:
Urgency: New auction items are expected immediately after the current auction, necessitating the swift removal of purchased items to create space.
Responsibility: The auctioneer explicitly states they are not liable for any damage, theft, or breakage that may occur after the auction concludes.
Abandoned Property: Items not retrieved by the designated pick-up deadline are deemed abandoned. In such cases, the auctioneer reserves the right to resell these items and retain the proceeds from the resale.
- Property Condition: All items are sold "as is where is", meaning buyers accept the condition of the items at the time of purchase. No refunds, returns, or exchanges are allowed.
- Item Inspection: Bidders are encouraged to inspect items during designated times. The auctioneer provides detailed descriptions and photographs, but it's the bidder's responsibility to verify the condition of the items.
- Buyer's Premium & Sales Tax: A 13% Buyer's Premium is added to the high bid, and buyers are responsible for paying an 8% sales tax unless they have a retail sales license on file.
- Payment & Invoicing: A nonrefundable deposit up to $500 will be charged for items won, with the remaining balance due on pick-up day.
- Item Removal: Buyers must remove items by the designated pick-up deadline. Failure to do so may result in items being considered abandoned property, subject to resale by the auctioneer.
- Transportation and Shipping: Buyers are responsible for arranging transportation. Shipping is available through CS&C - Carolina Services & Crating, but buyers must notify the auctioneer if they require shipping.
- Registration: Bidders agree to abide by all terms and conditions by registering and bidding for the auction. Failure to comply may result in the revocation of bidding privileges.
These terms and conditions ensure transparency and fairness in the auction process, protecting both the auctioneer and the bidders involved.
