Provenance: From the private estate of a long time art collector. According to the consignor this fine painting has not undergone an expert authentication certification process, hence is being sold as after the artist.
Sir Joshua Reynolds PRA FRS FRSA was an English painter who specialized in portraits. John Russell said he was one of the major European painters of the 18th century. He promoted the Grand Style in painting, which depended on idealization of the imperfect.
