On the top of the desk to the right of where the pen recess is there is a square wood splice that replaced the ink well hole. The wood piece was replaced very professionally so it appears to be just a square outline in that corner of the desk. The center of the lift up lid has a leather/vinyl covering. Very old children’s wagon styled like buckboards used in the old west. This all-wood wagon even has wood spoked wheels that have a hard rubber surround. This wagon is unique in that it has the hand brake on the side like the real wagons. The original finish on this wagon may have been more of a natural wood with letters painted on the side. At some point the wagon was repainted all red. Some of the original lettering can still be seen under the repaint. Last part of the wording spells out ‘COASTER’. Very old antique hinged top storage chest. The chest is finished in a dark stain. Has a saw tooth pattern decorating the outside of the lid. The front has an inlaid section with two decorative pillars on both ends. The top is covered with a reddish canvas that is tacked on the edges (same as lot 173, the foot stool with horned legs). When the lid is up there is a chain guard to prevent the top to fall backward. The inside is unfinished. The chest still has a great look even with the age and usage wear. The canvas has some wear hole in the corners. The chest has brass locks on both ends, does not come with a key. The locks are currently unlocked. There is one piece of wood trim on the lower back side of the truck that is detached. The piece will need to be glued and will fit in place tightly so would be almost unnoticeable in view. Currently the piece will fit in place without being glued. Great for many uses. Antique steamer travel trunk, shape of top has a slight curve. A beautiful metal trunk with brass trim and latches. There are lateral pieces of oak trim and vertical pieces of leather trim. In between there is heavy woven cloth insert. The inside of the trunk looks to be complete in all storage areas. Lifting the lid reveals a folding panel that can be lifted-up serval storage areas. When the section is removed there is the supporting framework that can be take out if desired with the full space of the bottom section for additional storage. The trunk has age and usage wear but is very good overall. Does not have leather for the handles on the ends. A very beautiful display piece as is or can repurpose for a coffee table or other similar use. No keys for lock, outside latches keep lid secured. Antique oak curved front curio display cabinet / China cabinet. Very nice unit with a dark stain finish. Has curved glass sides and in the front door. Inside are 4 wood shelves (with the groove in the back for plates) for a total of 5 display areas. Inside the cabinet behind the top shelf is a mirrored back. The mirror has some age distortion. The top of the cabinet is flat for additional display area with a decorative back panel. All the curved glass is in very good condition. Antique steamer travel trunk. A beautiful metal trunk with curved ends with four bands of oak trim. Inside the trunk are a number of storage areas made of wood. Inside the lid is a wood storage bin. The base has a full-length pull out wood section for storage. Half of that section has a lift up lid for covered storage. When that section is taken out there is additional storage in the lower part of the trunks base. Secondary latches keep the trunk lid closed to the base. If you are looking for a showpiece display piece this would be the trunk. In overall very good condition, especially the outside oak trim. Leather carry straps are missing on both ends of the trunk.
