Tobias, lovingly known as Toby. 11 year old paint gelding sired by Rockyspur "ON THE WAGON" standing at 15.2hh. He is not registered, I never bothered. Toby is the ideal all-rounder-been there done that horse. He has done everything you could do with a horse! He gives anything a go and will always try his heart out, bringing his rider home with lots of ribbons. He has done: * Pony club * Dressage * Jumping (has never said no or borked very brave!) * Cross country * Hacking * Ag shows * Paint shows * Mustering * Beach rides * Trail rides * Mounted games * Horse soccer * Cattle sorting clinics * Pinto shows * Sporting * Endurance * Polocrosse. Just to name a few, I'm sure there's more I can't think off the top of my head. He is a very well educated, well-seasoned horse. Knows leg aids, neck reining, collection, can canter from a stand still and never picks up wrong lead. Self loads onto the float. Perfect to catch! He comes running when called is always the first to the gate. Ride him bareback in a halter if you like! Can leave for weeks or even months and know he will always be the same horse when you swing your leg over. A dream to do his feet, rug, handle and so on. This horse is truly one of a kind with a personality to match. He always catches the attention of anyone who sees him, and have had multiple people want to take him home. He's an attention seeker and a really in your face, loveable boy. Has three amazing gaits and a really smooth rocking horse canter. I cannot fault this charming boy. I've had him his whole life and know him back to front. I will be extremely sad to see him go. He's for sale simply due to a lack of time with a new baby, absolutely no fault of his own. He would suit most riders. To bring out his best though I would say intermediate upwards, although he has given lessons to people who've never ridden before. Toby is a solid boy who is ready to take his next rider wherever they'd like to go! He has always done right by me, he has never had a rider fall from him. He never gets hot even with sporting. I cannot say enough kind things about this horse he is truly my best mate and I'll be sad to see him go. He's up to date on all vet work including Hendra, chiro, teeth etc. Great, strong feet never had an abscess or any problems ever with them. He is ready to go on his next adventure. I love this horse with all my heart and whoever wins him will have a lifelong mate. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase a horse like this they don't come up often. Toby comes with his personalised bridle, his girth, his pad and his breastplate.
It should also be noted that I have been riding Toby his whole life and I am a very nervous rider and he has always taken care of me. I also have a severe spinal disability which causes me not to be able to balance very well and I flop around on him which he is fine with, which makes him very forgiving with people learning to ride and flopping around on him too, Toby has always been very mindful to slow down every time I get unbalanced, he's truly worth his weight in gold. I truly believe this would also make him a great asset to any riding school for teaching people to ride, he's taught several riders how to ride. He is a very quiet boy.
