VOLUMES, comprising four volumes of "The Annual Register, Or a View of the History, Politics, and Literature", each printed for J. Dodsley, London; being "The Annual Register, Or a View of the History, Politics, and Literature, For the Year 1774", publishing date 1775; ". . . For the Year 1775", publishing date 1776; and ". . . For the Year 1778", publishing 1779; and ". . . For the Year 1767", publishing date 1786; the first three examples presumed first edition for their respective years, ". . . For the Year 1767" example stated fourth edition; the first three with marbled boards, leather spines and corners, two with red labels, each with gilt lettering, the fourth example having leather spine but lacking boards.
<i>Fair to good condition overall, moderate to significant wear to boards/spines, including corners bumped and frayed, one example lacking boards as described, and having some minor losses to remaining endpapers, "For the Year 1778" example having spine detached from binding, but still attached to front board along joint, with tear/separation to front joint from top edge, and back board fully detached but present; interiors very legible, the first two example remarkably clean, with expected toning, some minimal foxing or staining, the latter two with moderate toning, moderate foxing, primarily to endpapers/pastedowns.</i>
