Auction Terms & Conditions
Your bid is an offer to buy an item at the price of your bid and, if accepted, is a contractual obligation on your behalf to buy the item and also to abide by these terms of sale, including payment and removal of items from the auction site.
Credit or Debit cards used for auction registration and on file with HiBid will be charged per these terms of sale if another accepted form of payment is not provided for the buyer's accepted bids along with buyer's premium, shipping charges, and sales tax if applicable within 48 hours of the buyer's items closing for bids.
Items are closed for bids at the time the website www.moody's.hibid.com is not accepting further bids for the item. Items are offered for sale "as is" and "where is". The principle of “caveat emptor” applies except where expressly excluded by operation of law. Moody's does not make or give any guarantee, warranty or representation or undertake any duty of care in relation to the description, illustrations or photographs of any item, including condition, quality, provenance, authenticity, background, style, period, age, origin, value and estimated selling price.
Preview Date/Time:
Bidder inspection is encouraged. By placing a bid, bidder signifies that they have examined the items to their satisfaction, or that they have chosen not to personally examine them.
Preview time is Saturday September 23, 2023 between 10:00 A.M. EST and 4:00 P.M. EST by “Reserved Time Slot Only”. Time slots “Must Be Reserved” prior to Saturday September 23, 2023. Contact dkmoody1@twc.com or by text at (919) 222 - 3276 to arrange a time slot to preview the items.
Checkout Date/Time:
All items purchased must be removed from site in Goldsboro, NC on Saturday September 30, 2023 between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Pickup is by "Allocated Time Slots". Contact dkmoody1@twc.com by email or by phone/text at (919) 222-3276 to schedule a September 30, 2023 time slot for pickup. Purchaser is responsible for all packaging materials and physical labor to remove purchased items.
Payment for all items is due in U.S. dollars via cash or debit/credit card before removal of any items from the auction site. A 18% buyer's premium will be added to all sales transactions with a 3% discount if paid by cash. Sales tax rate of 6.75% applies to all items purchased.
Shipping:
Items that can be shipped are labeled as having shipping available on the detail page of that item. Only items with this label can be shipped. If you require shipping, you must notify us by email (dkmoody1@twc.com) within 24 hours of receiving your unpaid invoice by email if you have not left a notice to the auctioneer during registration. Payment for your items, buyer’s premium, shipping and any applicable taxes will be charged to the card on file with Hibid.com.
Items requiring shipping will be shipped within 3 business days of receiving payment. Shipping charges are the least expensive postage to ship via USPS or UPS rounded up to the nearest whole dollar plus $5.00 per package shipped. Items will be combined into as few packages as possible. When combining items for shipment additional charges may be applied at the rate of $2.50 per additional lot for packaging materials and box cost. Please note that the more items combined results in larger boxes, more weight, and higher shipping cost. All shipments are insured for the full payment amount and it is the buyer's responsibility to make claims for any damages that occur during shipping with the U.S. Postal Service and/or UPS.
You must be over 18 years of age to bid.
The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid at his sole discretion. Failure to abide by these terms may include abandonment of the items for which your bid was accepted or storage charges.
