Please call 260-441-8636, option 0, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday, May 21st to schedule an appointment for TUESDAY pickup OR email us with preferred pickup time at info@smauctioneers.com. Payment Terms: 1) Payment Methods. Scheerer accepts cash or the credit/debit card registered on the bidder's account in hibid.com ("Hibid") 2) Credit Card Policy. Bidders may request to pay with the credit/debit card they register through Hibid. Bidders paying with this method will be charged the current Hibid credit card processing fee in addition to buyer's premium, sales tax & bid price. 3) Personal Check Policy. Personal checks will be accepted only if credit has been established with Scheerer McCulloch. Items paid for by check may be held by Scheerer McCulloch for 10 business banking days. The purchaser agrees to pay Scheerer McCulloch a handling charge of $35 for any check dishonored by the drawee. 4) Winning bidder agrees to pay Scheerer McCulloch the full amount of the winning bid amount, the buyer's premium and sales tax (unless a sales tax exemption form is provided to Scheerer McCulloch) on or before the day of the scheduled pickup. If the winning bidder has requested shipping, then the winning bidder further agrees to pay a $30.00 packing, shipping materials and handling fee, plus costs of shipping and insurance per box. Scheerer McCulloch will make its best effort to combine winning lots into one (1) box if possible. Bidders who have not paid by the date of the scheduled pickup will be charged through their registered credit/debit card the day of the pickup day. If the winning bidder's credit card is declined and does not pay for the winning lot(s), Scheerer McCulloch will report the user to Hibid. This may result in a permanent ban from Hibid. Scheerer McCulloch reserves its rights and remedies to recoup its fees. ***It is the Bidders FULL responsibilty to make contact with office personnel (260-441-8636) PRIOR TO AUCTION ENDING for availabilty of alternate pickup time/day with an additional service fee for packing and transporting and admin charge. Service fees and admin charges are at Scheerer McCulloch's discretion and are NOT negotiable. Bidders who do not pick up items on the day of the pickup but have paid for the items will have 3 business days to pick up, make arrangements to pick up or ship the items before the auctioneer considers the item abandoned. The appropriate Buyers Premium is applied to winning bid(s). Credit Card Convenience Fee is the current Hibid credit card processing fee. Bidders must inspect items before leaving the premises. Please bring your own packing and moving supplies. If you purchase large items such as furniture, please bring additional assistance as the auction company will not be responsible for providing assistance with large items. 5) Scheerer McCulloch requires cash or an irrevocable wire transfer for lots containing jewelry, coins, precious metals and/or other higher value items. Winning bidder is responsible for any wire transfer fees. Invoices with high value total may also be subject to wire transfer only, at the auctioneers discretion. Buyers Premium: 13% applied to win Credit Card Convenience Fee (Through HiBid): 3.5% Bidders must inspect items before leaving the premises. Please bring your own packing and moving supplies. If you purchase large items such as furniture, please bring additional assistance as the auction company will not be responsible for providing assistance with large items. VEHICLE PURCHASES: ***The auctioneer STRONGLY recommends bidders schedule a professional mechanic inspection on all vehicles before bidding. Requirements to bid: -Bidder must be older than 21 and have a valid driver's license. -If the bidder is paying with check or credit/debit, bidder agrees to wait 10 days after payment is made to pick up the vehicle. -If paying with cash, vehicle will be released at the time of payment. Instructions after winning: Make payment at The Lantern with a valid ID Depending on payment: - Personal Check or Cashier's Check - Auction company will deposit the check the next business day. Once 10 days have passed, vehicle will be available for pickup. - Credit/debit/- Once 10 days have passed, vehicle will be available for pickup. - Cash - Vehicle will be released at the time of payment. - Winning bidder will need to provide proof of insurance on vehicle at time of pickup. - Vehicle, title and keys will not be released without proof of insurance is provided. FIREARM(S) BIDDER & TRANSFER INFO: ***Please Note - the ONLY Accepted Payments for Firearms - Cash/Wire Transfer or Check. MUST PROVIDE A VALID DRIVIERS LICENSE. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. WE ARE NO LONGER OFFERING SHIPPING TO OUT OF STATE BIDDERS FOR FIREARMS THAT NEED TO GO THROUGH AN FFL. MUST BE AN INDIANA RESIDENT TO BID ON FIREARMS. All in state firearm purchases: All firearms excluding muzzleloaders will be required to be picked up by buyer on record at a local gun shop of auction companies choice in order to complete necessary background check. The buyer shall be responsible for the transfer fee per firearm, which is payable directly to the FFL at time of transfer. Gun shop has the right to reserve a hold on a firearm until customer gets approved by background check. Firearms will not be released to gun shop UNTIL verified payment has cleared. Firearms will be available for pickup the day following verified payment., excluding checks (10 business days for check to clear). |
