1794 Draped Bust Large Cent C-2a NGC Fine details. Coin is corroded (most early copper is). True piece of early Americana, this 1794 cent is attributed as Cohen-2a, and is of the Normal Head variety. Second year of issue, mintage of 918,521 but a much lower survivorship of an estimated 2,500 pieces per PCGS website.

There are 100 coins in this album.

1970-D Washington Silver Quarter TYPE H Reverse (proof die). Commonly referred to as the Type B, but not accurate. They are both the same principal (Proof dies used on business strike coins) but, they are 2 different reverses. Type H Uses the proof reverse (RDV-008) that was intended for use on Proof Coins from 1968-1972. The variety is when that reverse was used on a business strike coin - usually 1969-D, 1970-D, 1971-D and 1972-D. Type B Uses the proof reverse (RDV-002) that was intended for use on Proof Coins from 1937-1942 and 1950-1964. The variety is when that reverse die was used on a business strike coin - usually from 1956 - 1964. This one is in circulated condition, as most are. A very scarce variety to locate.

Most were graded Brilliant Uncirculated and not given a numerical grade. Provenance from a bag dated March 19, 1964, five days before the coins official release. Sold by telemarketers for over $400, and still selling them at that price for ones marked BU, as this one is actually graded MS-65. The hand signed certificate is missing.

This particular dollar came from a hoard that was owned by Jack Douglas, the founder of the Club Cal-Neva Casino. Obverse displays some color toning, reverse is blast white.

1881-S Morgan Silver $1 Vintage INS Photo Holder, in Gem Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Label says MS66 PL. They got the Prooflike (PL) portion wrong, as fields don't appear to be mirrored enough depth to warrant the PL designation, however it is a very eye-appealing coin with simply very minimal contact marks. We think its a lock at a MS-65, and may be even better. Housed in a vintage International Numismatic Society Authentication Bureau photo holder. There is a crack on a corner of the backside, but does not affect the coin.
