If you do not pick up your items within the specified pickup time frames, your items may be forfeited and a lot removal fee of $25 may be charged, unless you have made special arrangements with Dad's Auction. 4. Shipping may be available for some lots, however this MUST be arranged at least 24 hours before the auction closing and before you bid by emailing customerservice@dadsauction.com. NOTE: SHIPPING & DELIVERY COSTS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! 5. We send out invoices to all winners within 24 hours of the auction closing. On your "Bids / Watches" page, you will see a STATUS relating to any bids you have placed. Below are descriptions of what this means for this estate auction: OUTBID: This means someone placed a higher bid than you did and you are not winning the lot. If the auctioning of the lot has not ended you have the option of raising the bid. MAY HAVE WON: This means you won. STATUS: You won. NOTE: You will receive an invoice within a few hours of the auction closing - the same evening before midnight. The invoice will list all the lots you have won. If you do not receive an invoice by midnight and believe that you have won lots, contact us immediately by emailing customerservice@dadsauction.com. We will respoind within a few hours - if you do not receive a response, you should assume there is an issue with your email and we suggest you try emailing us from a different email address. You may also just show up for pickup at the designated dates/times and we will process your order in person.

Most of the items we auction are new or "Like new." Although some of these "new" items may be customer returns, they will qualify as "like new" if we see upon inspection that the item does not appear to be used. We strive very hard to deal with suppliers who provide new / overstock / misguided freight / shelf pulls - this way we achieve a higher overall rate of "new" items. We will usually draw your attention to a "USED" item by stating "READ NOTE' or "NOTE" in the TITLE. Although most new items are still sealed, the packaging may be distressed or show signs of handling. We may also open new items to ensure that items shown on the packaging match the item inside. Many times we get stuff to auction because a retail store cannot sell a new item to a customer if the packaging is not in good shape. This translates to auction prices for our customers! We consider that a Win-Win!

First and foremost, we are an auction, not a store! We try our best to make the customer experience a positive one. We post information as accurately as possible about items for sale, knowing that you are buying online and not having an opportunity to see the items in person. Refunds & Returns are accepted ONLY if the item was not as described (e.g. it was USED, when sold as NEW), or if it is BROKEN. NOTE: SHIPPING & DELIVERY COSTS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! If you choose the shipping option, your item is deemed sold "AS IS" because we have no way to guarantee that the packages will be handled with care once they leave our premises. If this is a concern, contact us about package insurance. If you are bringing home glass items, or porcelain plates, or mirrors, or anything else that can break, you are advised to check the item at pickup time. Dad's Auction takes care to ensure items are whole, therefore it may be difficult to for the customer to prove where the breakage occured. If you are purchasing an appliance or electronic item, and it is not working, you must let us know within 48 hours of purchase. We will work with you to resolve the issue. If you buy an item and don't like the way it looks, or the functionality is not fully how you expected, do not ask for a refund or return. DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying. Most of the items we sell can be found on Amazon and there are usually many customer reviews. We try to be understanding and work with our customers. However, we also expect our customers to be reasonable.

Descriptions provide all the information about the item listed in the lot. Please make it your responsibility to read what is written in the lot descriptions because they may differ from what you see in the pictures. Ensure that you understand what is written as some definitions may differ from what you believe compared to what is meant. This will help you decide whether you would like to proceed with bidding on that lot and saves you trouble with any confusion! We strive to provide you with as much accurate information as possible, that is why you cannot solely depend on the pictures alone.

Items that are not picked up by the end of the the current auction pickup timeframe will be HELD for ONE additional auction pickup timeframe (in other words, you can pick it up during any of the days/times listed for the next auction). The following conditions apply: NOTE-CHANGE: Any lots that are NOT picked up during the current scheduled auction timeframe will be subject to the following fees: Lot Numbers 1 to 999 (3 digits): $5 each lot. All other Lot Numbers (4 or more digits): $1 each lot. We will only hold items longer than one further auction under special circumstances and all must be arranged prior to the end of the current timeframe. SHIPMENTS/DELIVERIES: The above rules also apply to Shipments/Deliveries. You must inform us by the last day of pickups if you want shipping / delivery, otherwise the above charges will be applied to your order, even if you are requesting shipping / delivery at a later date. Dad's Auction works hard to provide you great value and focuses mostly on new inventory rather than used goods. Our business model requires that we turn over this inventory quickly. Warehouse Space in Toronto is not cheap, and the additional work involved in moving and managing lots that have not been picked up is not a cost that we can continue to absorb.
