American Legion Riders Presents "Battle Worn" Flags of Pride Commemoration Charity Auction Representing The United States of America, Military Branches, Firefighters & Law Enforcement. Each Flag was custom designed and created by Kirk A. Will Jr. The American Legion Riders are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veteran's homes, severely wounded service members, and scholarships. Our local Weston County American Legion Riders Post 3 are a non-profit part of the American Legion Family veteran organization; whose mission includes promoting patriotism through flag donations, flag retirements, and community awareness through sponsored rides and funeral escorts. Our other missions include taking pride in assisting veterans and their families; which are our first and foremost priority. This may include food insecurity, rent, utilities, medical care etc. However, our mission also includes supporting PAWS for Purple Hearts and our local therapy dog program, a Riders Down Fund, Children of Veterans (such as starting a scholarship program in the future) and other numerous other patriotic entities and veteran programs.
