We are honored to bring you a wonderful collection of American and world coins from our friend John McLaren. Among the highlights of the McLaren Collection is a group of 19th and 20th century American gold coins in a variety of denominations and all in beautiful condition, as well as a large collection of Liberty half and quarter dollars, and commemorative half dollars.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS By registering for this auction, you indicate that you have read and agree to the full terms and conditions set forth below. The purchase price shall be the final hammer price plus a buyer's premium of 18% (absentee), 20% (HiBid), and 23% (Live Auctioneers). We strive to provide accurate descriptions and condition reports, but all lots are sold AS IS. Please read the descriptions and examine the photos. We are happy to answer your questions and provide additional and higher-resolution photographs. Please ask! We will answer questions in the order in which they are received. By bidding on any lot, you acknowledge that you are satisfied with the item(s) as is and are prepared to pick up or have shipped every item in all lots purchased. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. You may bid in our auction in two ways: 1. Place an absentee bid directly with us (call or email for more information). We will execute your bid competitively and honestly. Absentee bids left directly with us are subject to a buyer's premium of 18%. 2. Bid via HiBid or Live Auctioneers. Bids may be left in advance of the auction, or you may bid live during the sale on September 18. The execution of online bids will be handled by the bidding platforms. Meander Auctions will not be held liable for any missed bids due to technical issues or loss of internet connectivity. Bids executed through live auction platforms are subject to a higher buyer's premium than our 18% in-house premium. The auctioneer will have sole discretion to settle any and all bidding disputes. PAYMENT Invoices will be sent out soon after the auction. Payment is due upon receipt of that invoice. We accept most major credits, as well as cash (if you are picking up). Payment may be made by phone or at the time of pickup. For buyers needing their purchase(s) shipped, we will reach out to you regarding shipping after the invoice has been paid. The buyer's premium is the same regardless of payment method. No lots will be released without full payment. PICKUP All items from this auction are available for pickup by appointment at our gallery: 6825 State Route 821, Whipple, OH. SHIPPING We can ship all lots in this auction in-house. We charge for the cost of shipping, insurance, materials, and time. THE COST FOR SHIPPING WILL NOT BE ON YOUR INITIAL INVOICE. We will send a separate invoice for the shipping charge, so please pay the sale invoice immediately and let us know if you wish us to ship your item(s). We will then calculate the shipping charge and send a second invoice. Payment Terms
Invoices will be sent out the day after the auction. Payment is due upon receipt of that invoice. We accept most major credits, as well as cash (if you are picking up). Payment may be made by phone or at the time of pickup, or we can email you a click-to-pay invoice (via PayPal). For buyers of items eligible for shipping, we will reach out to you regarding shipping after the invoice has been paid. The buyer's premium is the same (20%) regardless of payment method. No lots will be released without full payment.
PICKUP All items from this auction are available for pickup during one pickup window only! PICKUP DAY: Saturday, July 2 PICKUP TIME: 10:00 am until 4:00 pm PICKUP LOCATION: Shaker Heights, Ohio (address will be included on the invoice) ALL FURNITURE AND LARGE LOTS MUSE BE PICKED UP DURING THIS TIME, NO EXCEPTIONS. Any furniture or larger item that is not picked up during this time will be assessed a $25 per item per day fee for one week. If it still remains on property, it will then be considered abandoned and disposed of and no refund will be issued. SHIPPING All purchases may be picked up on Saturday, July 2, from 10am to 4pm in Shaker Heights, Ohio (the address will be included in the invoice). We will have some in-house shipping for this auction. Items eligible for in-house shipping will be noted in the description. We will ship most smaller items in-house and charge you only for the actual cost of packaging, shipping, and insurance. THE COST FOR SHIPPING WILL NOT BE ON YOUR INITIAL INVOICE. We will send a separate invoice for the shipping charge, so please pay the sale invoice immediately and let us know if you wish us to ship your item(s). We will then calculate the shipping charge and send a second invoice. For some larger or more fragile lots, we can deliver to our local UPS Store (Marietta, Ohio) at no charge. You must make arrangements for us to do this, and you will then deal directly with the UPS Store for payment. You may contact the Marietta UPS Store for a cost quote prior to bidding. Email them at store2513@theupsstore.com and let them know you are bidding in our auction. FOR ALL ITEMS TOO LARGE TO SHIP (such as furniture and larger "cleanout" lots): you MUST pick up, or arrange for pickup, during the July 2 pickup window. This is the ONLY option for these larger items, so please plan accordingly. Buyers of any of these lots left after July 2 will be billed $25/day per lot for one week, and then will be considered abandoned and disposed of at our discretion.
