Items are provided at no cost to the charity or fundraiser holding the online auction; all items provided have a starting bid that reflects the costs attributed to Bids For Benefit, and every dollar raised above the minimum bid amount is donated to the charity or fundraiser.
How it works: Every item presented for sale starts with a "minimum bid" amount, and every dollar raised above the minimum bid goes to the charity/fundraiser. All that is required on the part of the charity or fundraising organization is to market their online auction to their email database, provide a storage space for successful bidders to collect their items once the auction has ended (this is event specific; shipping can be provided direct to buyer for an additional fee to the buyer, eliminating the need for storage and allocation on the part of the organizer), and allocate the items to the successful bidders; Bids For Benefit handles the rest.
